The Beirat is an advisory body of up to ten members, appointed by the Vorstand for three-year terms. Members are selected for their specialist or strategic expertise relevant to GIF’s work. The Beirat advises the board on strategic and subject-matter questions, may issue recommendations, but holds no directive authority over the Vorstand or other organs.
Beirat members are not Vereinsmitglieder. They may elect a chairperson from their midst, convene their own meetings, and attend Mitgliederversammlungen without voting rights. Service is ehrenamtlich; expense reimbursement may be granted by board decision.
