Ehrenmitgliedschaft (Honorary Membership)

GIF awards honorary membership to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the India-Germany relationship. Honorary members receive a formal certificate (Urkunde) and enjoy the full rights of ordinary members. This distinction is granted by the Mitgliederversammlung and serves as GIF’s highest recognition of bilateral service.

Strategic note: Ehrenmitgliedschaft is a powerful institutional tool that costs nothing but signals maturity. Ideal for: former Consul Generals, retired ambassadors, senior political figures, or founding industry supporters who contribute credibility and access rather than fees.

Fellow — €250/year

For researchers, professionals, students, and startup founders. Full access to all GIF publications. Roundtable event access. Quarterly bilateral briefings. GIF Studio content. Member directory listing. Networking event invitations.

Corporate — €1,500/year

For Mittelstand companies, SMEs, and Indian firms. All Fellow benefits, plus: priority event registration with two seats per event, one curated introduction per quarter, logo placement on GIF materials, Business Competence seminar access, and Mittelstand & GCC Forum participation.

Institution

Strategic Partner — €5,000/year

For enterprises, chambers, and institutional partners. All Corporate benefits, plus: one GIF Boardroom seat per year, Policy Dialogue participation, speaking slot at one Roundtable, co-branded research publication, direct access to GIF leadership, and premium logo placement across all channels.
